The Bratislava University of Economics and Business is a partner institution of the double degree programme offered by the Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics and Business Administration at the University of Bamberg. Within the programme, students spend one academic year at the partner university and obtain, in addition to the degree from their home institution, a Slovak Master’s degree.

Academic Focus
The programme combines finance, accounting and financial management with international perspectives on financial markets, corporate finance and taxation. Students take courses particularly in the areas of:
- Corporate Finance
- Financial Markets
- Accounting
- Taxation
- Financial Analysis
Depending on their individual focus, students take courses within the Master in Finance or the Master in Finance and Taxes.
Programme Structure
Students spend the first academic year at their home university and the second academic year at the partner university. All coursework and examinations are mutually recognised and fully integrated into the respective degree programmes.
Individual study plans are based on the agreed curriculum structures and a Learning Agreement prepared jointly with the programme coordinators.
Degrees Awarded
Upon successful completion, students receive:
- the Master of Science in Finance & Accounting from the University of Bamberg
- and the Master’s degree from the University of Economics in Bratislava

Application and Admission
During the application for winter term, the double degree programme application is included in the regular application process for either the Master in Finance and Accounting. Application and Admission for Students from the University of Economics in Bratislava
Students who begin the double degree programme at the University of Economics in Bratislava are nominated by their home university for the study period in Bamberg. After nomination, students receive all relevant information regarding application, enrolment and study organisation directly from the University of Bamberg.
Unlike regular exchange students, participants in the double degree programme are formally enrolled at the University of Bamberg. Enrolment is completed through the university’s online application system and students are supported throughout the process by the programme coordinators.
In addition, the International Office of the University of Bamberg supports international students in preparing their stay, particularly with regard to accommodation, orientation and language courses.
At the beginning of the semester, an orientation event for double degree students is organised by the Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics and Business Administration.

The double degree programme comprises four semesters. Students spend the first academic year at their home university and the second academic year at the partner university. During their stay abroad, students remain enrolled at their home institution.
