Respecting Boundaries - Guidelines for the Prevention of Harassment, Discrimination, Bullying, Stalking and Violence
The “Respecting Boundaries” policy applies to all university members as well as to individuals who are only temporarily visiting the university.
Based on the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG) and the Diversity Charter, the “Respecting Boundaries” policy protects against harassment, discrimination, bullying, stalking, violence, and boundary violations based on the following protected dimensions and characteristics:
- Age,
- disability and chronic illness,
- parenthood and caregiving responsibilities,
- ethnic origin or racial attributions,
- gender and gender identity,
- religion and worldview,
- sexual orientation,
- social origin, and
- attributions based on skin color or appearance.
Purpose of the “Respecting Borders” Guideline
The aim is to raise awareness of harassment, discrimination, bullying, stalking, violence and boundary violations, and to implement preventative and intervention measures and procedures.
These guidelines are intended to improve working and study conditions, which are important prerequisites for the university's success and the satisfaction of all its members.
