Nestingboxes-project and City4Future presented at the FDdB in Innsbruck

The Department of Science Education presented two of its projects at the 25th International Conference of the Didactics of Biology Section (FDdB) in Innsbruck, Austria

From 15 to 18 September 2025, the 25th International Conference of the Didactics of Biology Section (FDdB) of the VBIO took place in Innsbruck in cooperation with the Austrian Association for Biology Education (V?BD). Under the motto ‘Biology Didactics for a Sustainable World’, the team of the Department of Science Education was almost entirely represented to discuss current research findings and gain inspiration for practical application.

The Science Education team was represented by Yelva Larsen and Sophia Hochrein, who provided exciting insights into the world of wild bees with their nestingboxes-project, as well as by Petra N?gel, Jutta Paulini and Tanja Zacher, who presented innovative approaches to promoting optimism and action competence among schoolchildren as part of the City4Future project.

The conference provided numerous inspiring encounters and impulses for reflection, which we will now incorporate into our work with renewed motivation.
